The N2806A generates step pulses and square waves with sub-7 ps edge speeds in a remote head. Using a remote head allows the fast edge output to be connected directly to where it is needed, as cables significantly decrease edge speed. The generator offers 2 differential RF outputs. Both the rising and corresponding falling edge can be accessed simultaneously, enabling differential step response measurements and TDR.

The differential high speed electronics allow the N2806A to output very fast rep rates, never before seen in a pulse generator this fast. The RF output can generate square waves with sub-9 ps edge speeds up to 45 GHz. Further, consistent with Keysight’s commitment to signal integrity, the N2806A produces a step with the greatest spectral purity and closest to idea step response for repeatability critical to demanding calibration and metrology applications.
